Recently installed 12 of these for a 3x4M gym area for cage, weight tree, deadlift area and other training equipment after padding the weights with rubber to stop ringing when a deadlift end is dropped as a test with 200KG no issues and sound dampened. Laid on top of insulation wrap glued down to the floor to stop any potential mold from water rising through concrete etc and spray glue used to stop tile movement during weight impacts etc.
Would go for the 40mm over the 20mm for heavier stuff, well worth it.
