How to use Factory Weights calibrated collars: The collar is placed on the sleeve with knurled locking ring positioned against the plates. Then rotate the lever handle, which tightens the steel sleeve inside the collar. This means the collar is tight with reduced damaged to the barbell sleeve. The knurled locking ring then rotates to provide additional stability against any movement of the plates. This design makes adding and removing the collars easy but very secure when lifting.
