The Factory Weights FW Hybrid Barbell is our flagship bar, and we cut no corners in designing or manufacturing it. It’s a true multipurpose bar that performs just as well for squat, bench and deadlift as it does for the snatch and the clean and jerk. One bar covers everything, which makes it ideal for CrossFit boxes, commercial gyms and home setups where it needs to do it all.
Every FW Bar is made from specially selected 190,000 PSI steel. Each batch is performance tested under maximum load for 25,000 reps to ensure consistent quality. It's designed to be stiff enough to feel solid under heavy powerlifting loads but still has a moderate whip for Olympic lifts. The 28.5mm shaft sits in the sweet spot between a powerlifting bar and a weightlifting bar, so it feels at home whether you’re grinding out a heavy deadlift or catching a clean.
The standard knurl gives a secure grip without being too harsh for high-rep sessions. Dual IPF/IWF knurl marks make your hand placement consistent across every lift, and there’s no centre knurl to scratch up your neck during cleans or front squats. Four bronze bushings give smooth, reliable sleeve rotation, and the 680kg weight capacity means it takes everything you can put on it.
The 'Standard' and 'Gold' bar options are finished with a black hard chrome shaft whilst the other options are finished with American CERAKOTE® paint giving the most resistance to oxidisation of any bar finish behind stainless steel.

Very nice looking bar. The knurling is rough but not rough to hurt my hands. The bearings spin smoothly. FW do top products at a good price and I will continue to shop with them.
As expected it’s a great looking bar, it has quite a lot of spin and a good amount of knurling which does make it feel like a fantastic all round bar, as advertised. My only concern is whether or not in the long-run the colour will stay as good as it is now because there are some areas where the black coating hasn’t quite covered the full surface underneath and a glint of gold shines through, but only time will tell. Overall very happy and would recommend!
